Named Instrumentalist of the Year by the Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs, 2008), Tracy is often noted for her versatility on several instruments -- piano/keyboard, acoustic guitar, cello, fiddle (violin and viola), hammered dulcimer, and bass guitar. Also an international award-winning songwriter with several published CDs, Tracy has been influenced by a variety of musical experiences as a lifelong musician. She is also a skilled vocalist and creative song stylist with a wide range which allows her to perform many styles of music, from standards to rock and lots in between, always adding her personal touch. She has been described as "a musical force" (Kweevak’s Tracks).

Though she started with years of study in classical piano, Tracy is also a standout guitarist and was featured in Guitar Player Magazine in June 2009. In addition to her win in 2008 (Instrumentalist of the Year), she has been honored as a nominee numerous times by the Madison Area Music Association in Acoustic, Folk/Americana, and Jazz categories. She was tapped for a coveted performance spot at the MAMAs in 2006, hailed as the standout performance by the Wisconsin State Journal. As a soloist, Tracy has opened or shared shows with international notables such as Dar Williams, Willy Porter, The Wailin' Jennys, Holly Near, L.J. Booth, Ellis Paul, Peter Mulvey, Nathan Rogers, and more. As half of duo Acoustic Alloy (2012-2016), she has also opened for country artists Love and Theft, Tyler Farr, Chris Janson, and Granger Smith.

Tracy's performance skills on multiple instruments and her arranging/composing skills are also put to use in a number of collaborative side projects which currently include Common Chord, Clarksville Station, and Acoustic Alloy. See www.tracyjane.com for more.
