Top Shelf - Past Shows - 2023

This is a two barrel "nano brewery" serving freshly brewed beer, cocktails & pizzas, with live music regularly. For this show we'll be including some originals too. (We're happy to be back in the Monroe area after a fun show at Cheese Days last summer!)

Mike will join in on some tunes with Top Shelf, and the evening will also include some special arrangements starring the cello...tunes for cello and piano AND even a cello duet or two (Mike & Tracy with Alan on percussion). So if you're a fan of either The Piano Guys or 2Cellos, check it out! We'll have lots of variety...unique cover arrangements of pop and classic rock as well as some of Tracy's originals for this show. No cover.

About Mike: Mike went to UW-Madison on a music clinic scholarship back in the '80s, having soloed several times with both the Madison Memorial and WI Youth Symphonies. He was a collegiate rowing coach for 14 years, including three stints as an assistant at UW, and is currently a full time realtor. But with the rise in popularity of acts like "Two Cellos" he has been reinvigorated to start playing again, only this time it's classic rock instead of classical! Mike is excited to join with Tracy & Alan and Top Shelf in this new adventure!

About the venue: The Brink Lounge is an elegant yet cozy environment with great wines, cocktails, and small plate food items. Great date night location!

Driftless Social is open for bar service currently while the restaurant is in rennovation. Come on out and enjoy some cocktails or wine or beer while you enjoy some truly special musical offerings from Top Shelf and Mike! This very unique act plays stunning arrangements of rock and pop...Fleetwood Mac, the Beatles, Eagles, Queen, Styx, and more. For this show there will be several instrumental arrangements spotlighing the cello. Expect lots of surprises!

Waterfront dining (world class steaks and seafood) and a sunset over the marina make dinner at Mariner’s an evening to remember! Top Shelf duo will offer up tasty tunes from many decades and styles, with a "healthy pour" of great '70s and '80s favorites not often performed by local acts...music from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Steely Dan, Little River Band, Carole King, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Queen, and much more. *May be either moved indoors or canceled if there is inclement weather; check back on day of show.

The COW is a volunteer-operated, fully certified food truck in Dane County, WI. Whatever amount you can pay, you are assured a good meal! (Any proceeds are donated to local charities.)
