We have a great number of tunes perfect for our senior audiences. We choose music for the expected demographic of the facility ("senior" can mean a lot of things!), drawing from radio music that will be well known to those in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, even 90s and up!
We provide a lively experience filled with friendly banter, musical memories and lots of smiles, drawing from popular radio music spanning several decades.
Tracy and Alan both sing; Tracy plays both guitar and keyboard, Alan adds percussion, and Alan also emcees with an outgoing charm and a sprinking of "groaner" jokes.
What Top Shelf brings to seniors is refreshing and different...not the same old songs typically done for seniors (for example you won't hear "You Are My Sunshine"). We bring lively musical memories from popular radio music (rock/pop/country) of the 1950s, '60s, '70s plus a few standards from the Big Band era if the audience includes octogenarians and older. We generally see many folks mouthing words or singing along, tapping feet, smiling, and sometimes dancing. All of that is encouraged!
Alan and Tracy are both full-time musicians with daytime availability, and willing to travel within 1 hour of Madison.
